Privacy Policy
Zeferan Sultanahmet ("we", "us", "the Restaurant") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through www.sultanahmet.zeferan.com.tr, why we collect it, and your rights as a data subject under Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), where applicable.

2. Data We Collect
- Reservation data: name, phone number, email, party size, date, preferred time, vehicle plate (optional, for valet), occasion (optional), dietary notes (optional).
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, referrer URL, timestamps. Collected via standard web server logs.
- Cookies and similar: only after you accept via the on-site consent banner. Until then, no analytics or advertising cookies are set. See Section 6.
3. Why We Process Your Data
- To create, confirm, and manage your reservation.
- To contact you about your reservation (e.g. confirmation, cancellation, dietary clarification).
- To improve our service quality and the website experience (only with your consent).
- To comply with legal record-keeping obligations.
4. Legal Bases (KVKK Art. 5 / GDPR Art. 6)
- Performance of the reservation contract.
- Your explicit consent for analytics, marketing, and advertising cookies.
- Our legitimate interests in operating the website securely.
5. Retention
Reservation contact details are removed from our active system within 6 hours after your check-in is completed. Aggregated, non-identifying analytics may be retained longer where you have given consent. Server logs are retained for the period required by Turkish law (typically 6 months to 2 years).
6. Cookies and Consent Mode
We use Google Consent Mode v2. By default, advertising and analytics storage are denied. They activate only after you click "Accept all" on the consent banner. You may revoke or change your decision at any time by clearing your browser's site data or by contacting us.
7. Sharing
We do not sell personal data. Reservation data is shared only with our reservations management system and, when required, with our valet team. Anonymous, aggregated analytics may be shared with our advertising platforms (Google, Meta) only after consent.
8. Your Rights
Under KVKK Article 11 and GDPR Articles 15-22, you have the right to: access your data, request correction or deletion, object to processing, request data portability, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email info.sultanahmet@zeferan.com.tr.
9. Security
We apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your data, including HTTPS transport, access controls, and encrypted storage where applicable.
10. International Transfers
Where consented analytics services process data outside Türkiye/EU (e.g. Google's US infrastructure), we rely on standard contractual clauses and the providers' compliance frameworks.
11. Updates to This Policy
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Material changes will be communicated via the consent banner.
12. Complaints
If you believe your rights have been violated, you may complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK Kurumu) at kvkk.gov.tr, or to the relevant EU supervisory authority.
